FAQ

Q: How much are tires for my car or truck?
A: Call us with the year, make and model of your vehicle and we can look up the size of tire that’s on your vehicle and give you pricing.

Q: Do I need an appointment to have my tires installed?
A: No appointment is necessary; however, you may want to call to be sure your tire is in stock.

Q: Do I have to put the same tire on my vehicle that originally came on it?
A: It is recommended that you put the same size and speed rating on your vehicle, but the brand and tread design can be changed.

Q: How often should I rotate my tires?
A: Rotate your tires every 6,000 mile or every 6 months. Always make sure that your wheels are properly aligned. Badly aligned wheels can lead to dragging of the car on the road.

Q: How do I know when to replace my tires?
A: One indication is how your vehicle is handling. In wet weather, if the cornering is loose or sloppy, or hydroplaning is felt at any time, have your tires inspected immediately. However, it is best to replace your tires prior to this point. There are tread wear indicators running across the face of the tread on all tires. It is recommended that the tires be replaced prior to the tread being even with the indicators. Use the penny trick to determine if the tread on your tires is worn to low. Take a penny and put Abraham Lincoln's head into one of the grooves of the tread. If you can see all of his head, it's time to replace the tire. When the tread is worn down to 1/16 of an inch, tires must be replaced.

Q: What should the air pressure of my tires be?
A: Air pressure varies from vehicle to vehicle. Tire manufacturers recommend that the tires be inflated to the specs of the vehicle if the tires match the original equipment standards. To find the recommended air pressure, consult your owner’s manual or the plaque located on the inside doorframe of your vehicle.

  • • NOTE: You should check your air pressure monthly because seasonal air temperature changes causes tire air pressure to change. Low tire pressures can affect fuel economy, handling, and comfort. To accurately measure your tire pressure, check tires when they are cold. Wait at least three hours after driving. Check your spare tire each month and keep it properly inflated so it’s ready to go when you need it most.

Q: What brands of tires do you carry?
A: We carry over 20 brands of tires including: Goodyear, MICHELIN®, Bridgestone, Continental, BFGoodrich®, Uniroyal, Yokohama, Hankook, Pirelli, Nexen, and more!

Q: Do you have my vehicles tire size in stock?
A: We stock most popular sizes. If we don’t have your vehicle’s tire size or brand in stock, we can have it for you in one or two days.
